Ringwood Golf and Dorset Golf - FAQs for members

What does opting-in mean for my membership?
Choosing to opt-in means you can reactivate your Golf (direct debit or Fixed Term*) membership.
*Fixed Term memberships are paid upfront memberships.

Do I get a discount on my membership?
If you have a Golf membership (direct debit only) you will receive a 20% discount on your fortnightly direct debits for the remainder of 2020 on your 20/21 membership price.

If you have a Golf membership (Fixed Term only) you will receive a 20% discount credit. This credit will be applied as an extension (of time) to your membership expiry date. This will apply for the remainder of 2020.

All Fixed Term members that have chosen to opt-in and reactivate their Fixed Term memberships will have an extension of time applied to their membership that relates to the time they have missed due to the closure.

All other membership types will remain on hold.

What do I have to do if I have a Golf Fixed Term membership?
You will need to opt-in by emailing us here. Once your membership is reactivated, we will extend your membership expiry date.
If you choose to keep your membership on pause, you can play casually, and standard casual green fees will apply.

What happens if I choose not to opt-in?
If you do not opt-in, your membership will remain paused until further notice. Alternatively, if you decide to play golf casually, the standard casual green fee will apply.

After I’ve opted-in when will my direct debit recommence?
Your membership direct debit will recommence from the first direct debit date after you opt-in.
Please note, a one-off pro-rata payment may be payable at your next round.

Can I opt-in on the day of my round?
It is preferable and easier for you to opt-in prior to your booked round. If you do opt-in on the day of your round, it can take up to 2 business days to process your membership request. A pro-rata payment may then be applied to the account which is payable at your next round.

After opting-in how many days does it take for my membership to recommence?
It can take up to 2 business days to process your request.

When will the discounted membership end?
As restrictions ease and our venues can operate at a normal capacity, membership discounts will be removed, and direct debits will be reverted to original contract prices. Members will be notified prior to the discount being removed.

What happens if I opt-in and want to play prior to a direct debit date?
If you opt-in prior to a direct debit, a pro-rata fee will be applied to your account which is payable at your next round or can be added to your next direct debit as per the standard terms and conditions.

What happens if I’ve opted-in and then decide to suspend my membership?
If you choose to suspend your membership after opting-in, the regular terms and conditions will apply, with the exception of suspension fees. Whilst COVID-19 related venue restrictions are in place no suspension fees will be applied to your membership.

Can I suspend my membership?
You can suspend your membership at any time as per the regular terms and conditions.

I am a member, but I have not opted-in. Do I get a discount on casual fees?
No, there are no further discounts on casual green fees.

Can I play golf if I have a Lifestyle membership?

I have a Mates Lifestyle or a Family Lifestyle membership. What should I do if I want to play golf?

Can I play golf if I’m on any other membership type?
If you are on another membership type other than a Golf membership and you still wish to play golf you can either book in and pay casual green fees, or you can choose to vary your current membership to a Golf membership and be debited fortnightly.
