Swimming lessons

Children and adults with a disability are nurtured by our teachers, who are experienced in providing tailored, positive and inclusive programs.

Our Access for All Abilities program is available for students with additional learning needs.

We work with parents to find a suitable swim teacher for their student, and work to transition students to group lessons where applicable. Adult lessons are also available.

Aquabuddies

Aquabuddies is a casual swimming program for people aged 16+ with a disability. The program focuses on inclusion and participation and can have a high psychological and therapeutic value due to the buoyancy of the water. The water relieves stress and helps the body move without assistance.

Aquabuddies is hosted in the warm water pool at Aquahub for an hour, with music in the background adding to the atmosphere of the fun and games!

Please note: Aquahub aquatics area is currently closed and will reopen at 5.30am on Monday 7 April following a temporary closure for essential maintenance. All activities will return to regular programming from Monday 7 April. For more information, visit the Aquahub retiling project FAQs.
