Disability swimming lessons
Children with a disability and or special needs are nurtured by our teachers, who are experienced in providing tailored, positive and inclusive programs.
Adult lessons are also available on request.
Aquabuddies is a swimming lesson program for people with a disability and or special needs and their carers and focuses on inclusion and participation in the water. The buoyancy of swimming has a high psychological and therapeutic value, relieving strain on the body and allowing movement without assistance, particularly important for those with special needs.
Aquabuddies participate in the warm water pool for an hour, with music in the background adding to the atmosphere.
Please note: Carers are required in the water to assist. A completed enrolment form including medical information is required prior to program commencement.
Thursdays, 7pm to 8pm, followed by a light supper. $8.00 per participant. Carers are free.
To book, please contact Aquahub Swim School on 9294 5500 or contact us online.
