Join Osteoporosis Australia’s exciting new exercise project!
Keen to try an exercise program that targets bone health? Do you have low bone density (osteopenia)? Are you at increased risk of falls?
If you are over 50 and answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, our new science-based exercise program could help boost your bone health.
“Osteo-cise: Strong Bones for Life” was developed by Deakin University’s Professor Robin Daly and a team of exercise experts. It is proven to increase bone and muscle strength in older people. Osteo-cise is safe, and suits most levels of health and fitness.
Osteoporosis Australia is now working with selected fitness centres, including Aquahub, in Victoria, NSW and ACT to implement the Osteo-cise program.
Cost is just $6.50* per session and sessions are fully supervised. Alternatively a fortnightly membership is available at $32.10 per fortnight offering additional benefits such as unlimited access to Aquahub’s aquatic facilities.
If you would like to try Osteo-cise, please contact Aquahub on 9294 5500 for enquire here.
*A medical clearance, initial assessment and program is required prior to commencing the program. The cost for this is $41.40. Fortnightly memberships require no minimum commitment and there is no joining fee.
